2017

ends...

Giovanna Hunsrao

With the start of 2017, I’m seeing my Tumblr, facebook and Twitter being flooded with people posting about their new year resolutions. The most popular tag has to be “17 things to do in 2017” by far, but with all of us doing the IB, let’s be honest here, who has time to do 17 things on top of IAs, EE and QCs?! So we’re keeping things real here by presenting you with “7 things to do before 2017 ends.”

1

Wake up (on time) for morningblock

As someone who has missed a

scary amount of morning blocks already, I can completely relate with this. But waking up is way easier said than done, right? So what I have started doing is setting up 6 alarms on my phone every day, with a special ringtone for the last one, telling me that if I don’t wake up right away, I’m in deep trouble. A downside to this would be waking up your roomies who don’t have morning block with six alarms ringing continuously one after another. On that note, i wonder why my roomies haven’t complained yet?

Learn how to cook something other than Indomie

Although the Indomie empire might beg to differ, I don’t think

sustaining on a diet of Indomie is healthy, which I’ve been consuming

quite an alarming amount of. (Especially on Meatless Mondays) What I’ve resolved to do is learn how to cook something that tends to lean towards the healthier side even if the washing up can be a total pain in order to avoid constipation, which I’m a constant victim of.

Giving your tiny (or not so tiny)

corner a makeover will definitely

make a difference to the general vibes of your dorm. Clearing out unnecessary items or stuff that has been collecting dust frees up a lot of space, which will make your corner look instantly larger. You could also try a new layout, such as putting your wardrobe on its side or pushing your bed against the wall. I’m personally a big fan of putting up fairy lights to combat lights out as well as a nice aesthetic touch to your corner.
