I first saw petite beauty, LaToya Stirrup in 2017 at The Wynwood Yard on her show Tech, Beats, & Bytes. I was intrigued by her #bossygirlgang vibe and wanted to get to know her. I never caught up with her that night. I’d see her from time to time at various events but I never had the chance to really talk to her until this summer when as nominees for Women’s Power Caucus Awards, we were seated at the same table. BOSSY: When I first met you it was as host for Tech, Beats, & Bytes. I’ve since come to see that was just the tip of the iceberg; tell me a little more about all your current endeavors.
LaToya: I still co-host Tech, Beats, & Bytes with Michael Hall; we’re on hiatus right now. We’ll be back in August. My background is in advertising. I worked as an account manager, project manager and producer in the corporate world. In 2013 I went out on my own and now I work as an independent contractor with various ad agencies. I did that not only in order to take control of my time, but to take control of who I work with and how I work with them. Now though I’m much more focused on my entrepreneurial goals.
