One of your favorite words you use to describe the moments in your life is insane, what has been the most insane moment for you this far this year?

Hands down my most Insane Moment of 2016, was interviewing Tariq Nasheed. Most folks dream of interviewing Oprah. He is my Oprah. I prayed on that interview for 6 months. He is my role model. He inspired me to really see where we come from. He put validation to the feelings that I was having; I always knew something wasn’t right.

Bossy! loves to talk to people that are hands on with their passion. Another endeavor you have chosen to undertake is the First Annual Community Activist awards. Tell me about that.

A lot of activists because they speak the truth are considered radical. I wanted to provide a forum where that type of boldness could be recognized. I wanted to recognize the controversial and radical. The people that I have chosen to give awards to are really raising the bar within the criminal justice system. This 1st show really recognizes organizations that have helped me get to where I am in my activism, as well as touch on subjects that are personal to me. For example, the fatherhood mentoring program....takes men from all walks of life and gives them a 12 week intensive on how to be a father, then follow them for 2 years. What an awesome thing. They just graduated 23 men. 23! That moves me. Imagine if that 16 year old girl from Central FL had had a father to protect her?
