HOW TO BE BETTER THAN YOU!

Being a better you starts with the realization that life is not about being better than your peers. Life is about being the most complete version of YOU as possible. Depending on your surroundings, being better than your peers or competition might not necessarily mean you are being the best YOU as possible. In this world you can’t be satisfied doing enough to simply be better than those around you. Motivation under those conditions only leaves you unprepared when you obtain a new level of success. You might find yourself lacking the same tenacity you once had because you were only pushing to be better than your former competition.

If you and a peer decide to climb a mountain at the same time what is satisfying to you? Are you satisfied getting further than the guy behind you? Or are you driven to get to the top of the mountain even if it means you have to climb days longer than your original distance? These are the things that separate the good from the great and the rich from the wealthy. Society teaches us a false sense that we are all in competition with one another when in reality we should be in competition with ourselves. To be the best YOU we must compete against the urges of complacency and rise to a new level of human fulfillment.

If you have a vision or a dream you must figure out how to take that vision or dream to its absolute peak. That is the only way to last in a world where businesses close and open doors all around the clock. The best musicians didn’t get that way by settling for being better than the other bands in their city. They got that way because they had the drive and the NEED to be the best version of themselves as possible.

To be successful you simply have to be the best version of yourself as possible. Which calls for weekly analyzation of strengths and weaknesses. We have to look at ourselves and our life as a project and not just an experience. We have to have the need to mold ourselves until we perform at our very best. I believe that any human functioning at their individual best will always reach the goals they set out for. So when you wake up in the morning ask yourself how YOU can be better than YOU.
