Thus far what is a stand out moment of your career? Performing at The Ritz Theatre was definitely a proud moment of mine. It’s where Lucille Ball made her debut performance, where Frank Sinatra performed with Tommy Dorsey Band, and where Ella Fitzgerald performed a bunch of times. It felt great being on a stage where amazing people have been before anyone knew who they were.

How do you stand out among other artists? I like to focus most on lyrics. I feel like a lot of artists today sing songs that I can’t relate to. Songs about sleeping with 3 strippers in the back of a Lamborghini isn’t something I can relate to haha. I understand the fantasy and fun of those songs and that it’s mostly about the beat, but I like to have the awesome beat along with a song that means something.

Tell us a fact about you: I sleep write! It’s actually really creepy but so cool at the same time. There has been a lot of mornings where I woke up and found a song that I wrote. I never remember doing it, but now I sleep next to a notebook and pen just in case.

B.O.S.S Code stands for business over social stress. How can you relate with that in your life and career goals? That’s really cool. I think as an artist, not a lot of people can relate to taking such a different career path. Although the social aspect of being a singer makes you feel like an outcast, I’ve still been putting my goals first and not worrying about what people think. Business first. Respect later.
