osch Projects is committed to becoming the leading
international provider of sugar equipment technology. Our
Research and Development program has recently resulted in
innovative technology such as the New Chainless Diffuser
(Patented) and Whole Stick Shredder. Some exciting R&D
projects are currently at development and pilot plant phase
which have the potential to make a significant impact on the
sugar industry.
The New Business Development Team has been tasked with
creating an innovative culture in Bosch Projects, capturing new
business concepts and developing these ideas through to
implementation. This process has resulted in four specific
business opportunities which are in the business plan phase.
Identification of external partners has also been recognised as
a potential opportunity. This initiative is aimed at promoting
growth, diversity and sustainability within Bosch Projects.
Diffuser Pilot Plant (Old)
UCL Wood Chipper from Brazil
UCl Company Ltd have purchased a bark chipper from Brazil as part of their strategy to
increase bark production. Bosch Projects has been appointed as the Consultant for the
Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Management for the chipper installation. The
project kicked off during July 2008 with Nico Wentzel leading the team. The chipper is on
the water and is expected to arrive during November 2008. Commissioning of the chipper
is scheduled for December 2008.

Solid Waste Management Bay Municipality: extension
Operations go international of transmission line routes
Munitech is poised to extend its solid waste
management operations into Mozambique, with the
commencement of a new solid waste collection
supervision and monitoring contract with the Municipality
of Maputo.
unitech’s role will be to assess the capacity of the
Municipality to manage solid waste collection within the city,
to capacitate the city’s waste collection supervisory teams and to
supervise the city’s waste collection contractors.
