02 Words from the Chairman’s desk It is exciting times for Bosch Holdings and this edition of Enginuity highlights a number of new initiatives, which allow us to offer a broader range of value adding solutions to our Clients. We are very excited to have Danai Magugumela on board as Managing Director of Bosch Stemele and we are confident that she will add significant value to the Bosch Holdings team. Max Stemele will take early retirement with effect from 31st August 2014, but will remain as a non-executive Director in the group thereafter. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Max for his absolute commitment to the group over many years. The next edition of Enginuity will pay tribute to Max and provide you with some insight into his career at Bosch. Bosch Capital has been established with Jarred Roberts at the helm. Jarred brings a new, dynamic service offering in the project finance arena. Bosch Ulwazi’s ambition of “Developing the skills of our nation” is fast becoming a reality, with major appointments from Transnet and Eskom. The development of engineers, project managers and small businesses form the cornerstone of Bosch Ulwazi. Once again we have featured some innovative projects across the globe, including Africa, Brazil and Thailand. Bosch Capital - A new addition to Bosch Holdings January 2014 saw the establishment of Bosch Capital. This comes as part of Bosch Holdings’ innovative growth strategy to provide Clients with a more holistic solution. Bosch Capital addresses a tangible demand from Clients to assist in all funding aspects of projects, products and new initiatives and will guide project developers and public sector Clients through the development process. Since the inception of Bosch Capital, there has been a significant uptake in the new service offering by Clients of all Bosch Holdings’ operating companies, due to the benefit of having an engineering and finance discussion with only one party. To-date, Bosch Capital has utilised the strong compliment of four chartered accountants across the Bosch Holdings’ group of companies in assisting project developers and other Clients in the following ways: Accessing grant funding for feasibility studies; Purpose built financial models; Structuring solutions for ring-fenced project finance transactions; Worked with developers through the development and capital raising process of a project. Further investments are in the pipeline to promote a diversification of the group’s revenue stream.
