15 Bosch Holdings appoints Managing Director of Bosch Capital Bosch Holdings recently appointed Jarred Roberts as Managing Director of the new operating subsidiary, Bosch Capital. With experience in the business and finance world, Jarred is ready to spearhead the Bosch Capital team. He brings a strong network in the financial services and private equity industries, along with experience in financial modelling, transaction structuring, new business development, deal origination and closure. Jarred holds a Bachelor of Business Science degree with Honours in Finance from the University of Cape Town (UCT). He went on to complete his PGDA at UCT before joining Investec, where he successfully completed his Chartered Accountancy articles after passing his Chartered Accountancy Board exams, placing him in the top 10 in the country for part two of the Board exams. He gained valuable experience working in various areas of Investec and also spending time in their London office. Jarred spent three years in Growth and Acquisition Finance and was involved in debt and equity transactions across mining, construction, logistics, renewable energy, IT and Consumer Brands. “I feel privileged to be venturing into new territory with Bosch Holdings and to be working closely with the engineers across all the group’s companies to explore new growth opportunities,” said Jarred. [email protected] Bosch Holdings bolsters the Vision with additional finance expertise John Botha joined Bosch Holdings in May 2013 in the position of Group Financial Controller, as a direct report to Allen Liversage - Group Financial Director. His current role is to provide top level financial support to the operations of the business, whilst also supporting local and international growth initiatives across the group. John completed his training and qualified as a Chartered Accountant CA (SA) at Durbanbased accounting and audit firm, Michael Rogers & Maingard, which included serving as a Partner during his 10 year tenure. He then had the opportunity to obtain international experience, working in Bahrain in the Middle East for 2 and a half years with global professional services firm, Ernst & Young. John returned to South Africa and joined Ernst & Young’s Durban office, during which time he was introduced to Bosch Holdings and served as the Senior Manager on the audit team. Whilst in the auditing profession, John serviced a variety of Clients from SME’s to large and listed Clients (in most industries, with focus on retail and consumer products, real estate and construction and manufacturing), and working with Clients in South Africa and Bahrain, his geographical experience covers the Middle East, Africa and Europe. More recently his focus was on Africa expansion strategies and strategic growth of middle market companies. [email protected] Bosch Stemele Regional Director appointment Bosch Stemele has appointed Raj Ramchuran to the position of Regional Director – KwaZulu Natal. In this role, Raj is responsible for managing Bosch Stemele’s operations in the province, including managing the Regional Office in Umhlanga, and Branch Offices in Mtubatuba (North Coast) and Shelley Beach (South Coast). Raj brings many years of experience to the position. He holds a BSc Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Natal and is a registered Professional Engineer. He joined the company in August 1997 as a Project Manager and has held senior management positions, including Alternate Director and Executive Director. In his previous role, Raj was Divisional Director – Water and Sanitation. Commenting on his new role, Raj said “This is a great opportunity to grow our business, meet new people and to explore areas that we have not traditionally serviced, whilst still ensuring high quality standards and Client satisfaction”.
