ISSCT Congress in Thailand
Bosch Projects attended and exhibited at the 29th ISSCT ( International Society of Sugar Cane Technologists ) congress in Thailand from 5 to 8 December 2016 . The congress is held every three years in a sugar producing country and it is a key event in the Bosch Projects calendar .
The congress is attended by Clients and suppliers alike from across the globe and as a result , the exposure from the event was exceptional . Thailand was an excellent destination for the congress due to the growing sugar industry in this country , which is supported by the government ’ s willingness to grant licenses for 25 new sugar factories .
Bosch Projects presented two papers at the congress , which attracted attention from exhibitors and delegates . One paper was on the lamella clarifier (“ Performance of lamella clarifiers for juice and syrup clarification ”), which is a new development in the sugar industry and has a smaller footprint and lower capital cost than a short retention type clarifier . The second paper was on high efficiency sugar equipment (“ Modern sugar factory equipment for good recoveries , energy efficiency and low costs ”), such as chainless diffusers , continuous vacuum pans , direct contact heaters , long tube evaporators and sieve plate scrubbers .
The equipment presented in both papers is part of Bosch Projects equipment range . The full Bosch Projects sugar equipment range and our consulting capabilities were exhibited at the stand , which attracted existing and potential new Clients . We look forward to seeing you all at the next ISSCT congress to be held in Argentina in 2019 .
