African biofuels conference Bosch Projects recently attended the 4th African Biofuels Conference in Midrand as an exhibitor. The conference proceedings provided very interesting up-to-date perspectives on the African Biofuels Industry and networking opportunities were very useful in broadening Bosch Projects’ presence in this sector. Front end package study for Ubombo Bosch Projects was recently commissioned to undertake a Front End Package Study for Ubombo Sugar Mill in Swaziland, which has been successfully completed. University fund support SBA has joined forces with other businesses and institutions in supporting KZN’s civil engineering industry, by making a donation towards the resurrection of the old “Natal University’s Civil Support” fund. This fund, which was originally set up in 1989 to supplement lecturers’ salaries, has recently been resurrected through a joint initiative by CESA, SAFCEC and eThekwini Municipality. The civil engineering industry has, for a while, been concerned by the dwindling number of academic staff in the School of Civil Engineering at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and the impact this will ultimately have on the quality of graduates the University is producing.
