Over the next 13 years, three Matrons served at the Whakatane Hospital but very little information
and few photographs appear to have survived.
The Matrons were:

Nurse Miss Runciman, Matron 1943-1947
Nurse Miss K Miller, Matron, 1947-1951
Nurse Miss CP (Phyllis) Booth, Matron, 1951-1967.
