to help create our culture
In May we held a workshop organised by staff for staff to discuss
staff engagement and culture.
Now we are launching a major project to deliver the four objectives
staff raised in May, by working together to ‘Create our culture’ to
implement our CARE values, to improve our communication and
appraisals and address inappropriate and bullying behaviour.
Evidence shows that when healthcare staff are more engaged in
their work, patients’ experience, safety and quality also improve.
As part of the programme of events from November 28 to December
2, we are also involving patients, their families and whānau.
It is our ambition that every patient experience is safe,
compassionate and of the highest quality. An important part of
getting this right, is to talk to patients, their families and whānau
about their experiences of our services.
We would ideally like every staff member to take part in ‘Creating
our culture’, through the survey, and by registering for one of the 17
transformational
