Across New Zealand there is currently a limited
vaccine supply due to near record levels of flu

Wash your hands
For at least 20 seconds
and dry them for 20 seconds
- or use a hand sanitiser.
Cover your
mouth and nose
Don’t go to work
If you are unwell, stay at
home until you are better.

and be active
Keep your immune system
healthy. Eat well, with lots of
vegetables and fruits. Drink
lots of fluids. Be active and
get plenty of sleep.

tissue away after use and
clean your hands.
Don’t touch
your face
This is the easiest
way for germs to
get into your body.
Wear a mask
Protect yourself. Wear an orange
surgical mask if you are caring
for patients who are coughing
and sneezing.
Influenza is contagious and spreads easily
through direct contact and touching
contaminated objects. It can survive more than
8 hours on hard objects such as mobile phones.
