Operations - Who We Are
Facilities & Business Operations (FBO) is
the new name given to the service formed
following a joint review of Property Services
(PS) and Hospital Support Services (HSS). medical gases, sanitary units, water coolers and bathroom
dispensers are now under the FBO banner, as well as all existing
Property Services.
Over time, Tauranga and Whakatāne Hospitals have grown in
size and complexity and the scope of services managed by PS
and HSS increased. HSS was operating as a business unit of the
Provider Arm. Phone ext 8200 and follow the instructions to request help from –
FBO is the consolidation of the non-clinical support services into
a business group more suited to the provision of these services,
freeing the Provider Arm management team to concentrate on
core clinical services, and the development of internal clinical
administration and support systems and processes.

FBO has a new HelpDesk Hotline number for both Tauranga and
Whakatāne sites.
Jeff leads the Facilities & Business
Operations (FBO) Team at both
Tauranga and Whakatāne Hospitals. He
is responsible for the smooth running
of all DHB buildings and assets, the
delivery of property projects, non-clinical
support services, and the management
of leased properties.
Jane is responsible for managing
projects; from the planning phase
through to finalisation. Jane defines
the projects’ objectives and oversees
quality control throughout the life
of the project. She also manages
resources and coordinates team
members, third-party contractors and
consultants in order to deliver projects
on time, within budget and to plan.
