Teams of staff in Whakatāne and Tauranga turned a shade of pink recently, joining the Pink Shirt Day movement, standing together to take action against bullying. Pink Shirt Day is a global initiative, led in New Zealand by the Mental Health Foundation to raise awareness and stop bullying. Bullying is a serious issue in New Zealand – 1 in 5 workers are affected by bullying and our schools have the second highest rate of bullying out of 51 countries.
