Win great prizes and help tackle traffic
jams by completing travel survey
Want to help ease traffic congestion? Sick
of traffic jams and wasting time and money
inching along in the daily commute? You can
make a difference and this is where it starts.
Towards the end of July the BOPDHB Travel Survey will be
conducted; asking DHB staff, contractors and visitors questions
about their commute, parking and what could be done to improve
transport options around DHB facilities.
It will gather information about factors influencing people’s choice
of transport, challenges they face, their journeys, and their parking
and public transport experiences. The survey will look at travel
habits across both the Tauranga and Whakatāne hospital sites.
Plan that supports the health of our people and our environment.
The plan is being developed by the Travel Plan Group, a small
team under the guidance of the Healthy Living Team.
To encourage people to complete the survey the team has
managed to source a range of spot prizes for respondents.
These include bike shop vouchers, preloaded bus cards, and
the use of an electric bike for a week.
It would be great if as many staff as possible could complete the
survey online. There will be an option of filling out the survey
face-to-face but this approach is mostly intended for input from
outpatients and visitors to DHB facilities.
Look out for more updates, and prize winner announcements,
on OnePlace as the Travel Plan Group’s work progresses.
This information will be used to explore sustainable travel
alternatives and innovative options to create a BOPDHB Travel
HOSPITAL
