Trio hit GOLD status & win team shout ED teams in both Whakatāne and Tauranga hospitals as well as Tauranga’s Surgical Admissions Unit have struck gold in the Quit Smoking Referral competition, and all three will receive a team shout for their efforts. As you know we’ve been keeping track of BOPDHB teams and individuals that refer patients for quit smoking support through our online referral form. An amazing 129 referrals were received across the DHB during November. Top individual referrer at Tauranga Hospital was ED Nurse Jolinda Louw with 20 referrals. ED Nurse Lucy Butler took out top spot with 10 referrals at Whakatāne Hospital. Final results are as follows: GOLD (10 + referrals) SILVER (6 + referrals) Whakatāne Surgical Admissions Unit – 7 Tauranga Medical Day Stay Unit – 6 BRONZE (3 + referrals) Whakatāne Acute Care Unit – 5 Tauranga Outpatients Department – 5 Tauranga Paediatrics - 5 Tauranga Ward 3B – 4 Tauranga Ward 2C – 4 Tauranga Alcohol & Drug Service - 4 Whakatāne Paediatrics – 3 Tauranga Sexual Health Service - 3 Congratulations to all our participants.
