Focus on team In this new section of Checkup we get to know teams across our organisation. Introducing the Risk, Health and Safety team By George Swanepoel, Risk, Health and Safety Manager. The People and Capability team is delighted to welcome the Risk, Health and Safety team to the organisation. The new team was formed earlier this year following a consultative review of this part of the organisation last year. It includes some familiar faces as well as newbies covering all aspects of keeping you safe at work, including emergency management and healthy living. Key areas of work include: 8 • Creating an organisational values based culture focussed on proactive well-being, preparedness, and health and safety that operates as ‘all one team’. • Supporting staff to ensure that our organisation complies with the requirements of relevant legislation. • Retention of Tertiary ACC status. • Identifying and supporting the organisation with health and safety focused IT support systems. • Providing a clear emergency planning support structure across the organisation. • Ensuring our organisation complies with Government’s Protective Security Requirements.
