How much can we raise?
The amount of funds raised from each event will vary depending
on the particular event details. The fundraising group will receive
a percentage of the ticket sales, a number of free tickets to the
event that can be on-sold or raffled etc, and Canvas Group will
donate a number of vouchers (typically around $500 value) for
future trips that can be auctioned during the event.
As an example, a school who sold 65 tickets to an $85/head
evening jazz band dinner cruise would receive around $2000
with the potential for this to be closer to $3000 with some
additional input from the school.
As a second example, a sports team who sold 80 tickets to a
$30/head ‘Sports Bar’ drinks and nibbles cruise would receive
around $1200 with the potential for this to be closer to $2000
with some additional input from the team
The above are two simple examples of events supporting two
very common community fundraising needs. For some groups or
established charities with large supporter bases we can look at
designing more complex or ‘up-market’ events to raise
significantly larger amounts. It is all about designing an event
that fits your supporter base.
