Booklings Effort 8 The ninth story in the book is the Hound Of Baskervilles by Arthur Conan Doyle in 1901. It is the third of the four crime novels written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle featuring the detective Sherlock Holmes. It tells the story of an attempted murder inspired by the legend of a fearsome, diabolical hound of supernatural origin. Sherlock Holmes and his companion Doctor Watson investigate the case. This was the first appearance of Holmes since his intended death in "The Final Problem", and the success of the Hound Of Baskervilles led to the character's eventual revival. It is a book categorized under the genres Crime Fiction, Detective Fiction, And Mystery. It has two main characters Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson. The last story in the book is Moby Dick. It is a novel by Herman Melville, first published in 1851. It is considered to be one of the greatest American novels. The story tells the adventures of a wandering sailor Ishmael and his voyage on the Whaleship, Pequod, commanded by Captain Ahab. Ishmael soon learns that Ahab has one purpose on this voyage: to seek out Moby Dick, a ferocious, enigmatic white sperm whale. In a previous encounter, the Whale destroyed Ahab's boat and bit off his leg, which now drives Ahab to take revenge. It is catogorized under two main Genres Sea Story and Adventure Fiction. It has eight characters named Ishmael, Queequeg, Captain Ahab, Captain Boomer, Starbuck, Stubb, Elijah, and MobyDick.
