Booklings Effort 23 Vikram And Betal As you know the story of Vikram and Betal, it was a book of scary stories. In this book there is one sage who asks King Vikram to bring a ghost who was hanging in a banyan tree. As always King Vikram obeyed the Sage and went to the forest where the ghost was living. King Vikram told the ghost that he had to come with him to the palace. Betal told fine I am ready to come with only one condition, the condition was that Betal would tell King Vikram a story and tell the answer but he had to keep his mouth shut if he opened his mouth Betal would go back to the banyan tree, but if he knew the correct answer to it and did not tell it. His head would be broken into 1000 parts. King Vikram agreed to this, so then Betal started telling the stories. King Vikram was very Clever, Intelligent and Brave. King Vikram knew all the answers to the story. Betal used to always tell stories and King Vikram used to always have the correct answer for it and when he used to tell the answers out loud Betal would say it was the correct answer but you opened your mouth so I cannot come with you. This happened for 18-19 times, but at the end King Vikram could not get Betal to the Sage.
