Booklings Effort 17 Narada Narada thought that he was a greatest devotee of Lord Vishnu, but then Lord Vishnu told him that he was not a greatest devotee. Both of them went to earth and then Lord Vishnu took him to his greatest devotee. The devotee who Lord Vishnu thought was greater than Narada was a Farmer. He used to always think of Lord Vishnu, when he gets up, goes to bed and in between his work hours. To prove that the Farmer was greater than Narada, Lord Vishnu took a vessel with oil in it and told to walk around the hill without dropping oil. Narada came back without dropping a drop of oil. Vishnu said that, the farmer does a lot of hard work and still remembers me. When you were doing the hard work, you could not think of me. So he is a greater devotee to me than you are.
