answered” I kept you because I love and you can go whenever you
want to go”. Then the Guru gave his Daughter for marriage with
Uttanka and also a reward to make him young again. Then as a
Dakshina Uttanka asked the Guru what he wanted but then he didn’t
want anything from Uttanka. Then he went and asked the Guru’s wife
what she wanted was the celestial ear rings of the wife of Saudasa.
Then he began his journey to the palace of Saudasa. On the way he
found Saudasa now a cannibal. Saudasa wanted to eat him but then he
stopped him. Uttanka told him that it is a wrong to injure someone on
such a mission. Uttanka also told him that after I get the ear rings from
your Wife and give it to my Guru’s wife. I will return to you so that
you can eat me. Then he got the ear rings but before he went back to
the Gurukul. He asked Saudasa “The learned say that one who does not
follow the advice of a friend is a fool. The one who wrongs a friend is a
villain and I am your friend Saudasa, so tell me this would you advise
me a friend to return to you a cannibal”. Saudasa answered no but
before he could change his mind. Uttanka immediately ran back to the
Gurukul and married the guru’s daughter and lived happily ever after.
