"Picture the Dead"

"Picture the Dead" by Adele Griffin and Lisa Brown, and was published in October 2010 by scholastic . The book contains 262 pages, and the price of the book is unknown. "Picture the Dead" was chosen by me because it had mystery and romance. The illustration on the cover showed a couple of candles lit and an artistic backround. On the back of the book it shows quotes written by the photographer and also showed phrases about "Picture the Dead". The book may attract ghost hunters and mystery solvers.

The book's main character Jennie, lost her brother and then fell in love with a guy named Will. This takes place in Stevensberg, Virgina. In Stevensburg, there is a hospital where Jennie's brother, Toby, died. Jennie couldn't hear Toby's last words, but Jennie knew Toby loved her no matter what. Jennie was still upset that Will died. Will was the one that loved Jennie, but more in like a romance way.

I thought the book was heart warming. It could become real, but it didn't actually happpen. My favorite part was when the ghost photographer took a picture of a spirit. My least favorite part was when Toby, Jennie's brother, died. I do not relate to this book, but it was a great story. People who like mysteries and ghost stories would like this book. I would recommend this book to people that might like to learn a lesson by trying something new.
