"Chasing Redbird"

"Chasing Redbird" was written by Sharon Creech. It was published by Harper Trophy in 1997 and it has 261 pages. I read the summary in the back and I thought it was good. I got the book from the library. On the front of the book is a redbird and in the background there is a farm, and a horse next to a trail. I would recommend it because it was mainly about Zinny's whole life since she was a baby.

My books main character is Zinnia, a.ka. Zinny. She lives on a farm with her mom, dad, Gretchen, Will, May, Ben, Bonnie, Sam, and her brothers and sisters. Next to her farm Uncle Nate and Aunt Jessie live in another small house. Zinny is trying to uncover a trail that she found. On the way, she finds some secrets in the family, and maybe even a true love of her own.

This book was suspensful at times. I really liked it because it had all the things I like in a book. My favorite part was when Zinny went camping by herself. I disliked when Zinny ran in the forest and got lost because it made me feel afraid for her. I couldn't relate to the story because I have never been in a situation like hers. I think the moral of the story is to never give up on trying to find something. I would recommend it to people who like suspense and mystery.
