"The Separated"

"The Separated" which was published in 2006 by Brown Barn Books was written by Troon Harrison and tells about a girl who needs to care for two beasts. The book shows a great moral. I really liked the book and I am sure other people will like the book too. I would recommend it to a person who likes the olden days with castles and knights.

The main character of ''The Separated,'' is a girl named Vita known as the ''The Keeper'' and she takes care of the Corn'd'ore, which are beasts that make sure the land is peaceful and that no evil takes over. Vita must team up with the sea witch to save the Corndo'd'ore from an evil lord. While Vita finds the beasts, her friend fights the Sea Dragon to free his people, and their lives will never be the same.

The story made me feel like you should keep a promise and not forget about it. I like the book because it has action and it has a moral. My favorite part is when Vita says she promises to take care of the beasts, but she never did. People can relate to Vita like I can because some people don't keep promises. The moral of the story is to keep your promise or something bad could happen.
