BOGEY BREEZE

PRESIDENT ’ S MESSAGE

“ October had tremendous possibility . The summer ’ s oppressive heat was a distant memory , and the golden leaves promised the world full of beautiful adventures . They made me believe in miracles .” - Sarah Guillory
Bogey Hills Members ,
It is hard to believe that Fall has officially arrived , and we are now preparing for all the Fall / Winter events . September was bittersweet for those members who took advantage of the pool . I would like to thank Drew Willmann and Mandi Gabbert and all the lifeguards this year . They did a tremendous job watching the pool , checking everyone in , and making sure everyone felt safe . I would also like to thank the food & beverage staff for braving the elements , on occasion , and keeping up with drinks and food . This year we only served food on the upper deck , which made for better service overall . There is always room for improvement , which we have already begun to discuss for next summer .
Labor Day usually marks the end of golf for some members , but we still had several events . Congratulations to all the Labor Day Gala winners and to Jeff Nagel and Kelly Osborne for winning the men ’ s and ladies ’ club championship . Also , congratulations to all the players that came out and gave their best that weekend .
Thank you to all the members who participated in the Fall / Winter events survey . I read each review and all the comments . We had a team meeting discussing each event and overall , the membership is happy with events . We will keep tables 6 feet apart or further , continue to encourage members to wear masks inside the clubhouse , and practice social distancing . Please keep an eye out for event flyers throughout the club as well as emails , Clubster , and the website .
I would like to discuss some issues that have come up the last couple of months . Primarily , I would like to remind everyone that we do have dress codes in place

for the Clubhouse . These dress codes also include your guests . Nice jeans with no holes , frays , or tears are acceptable in the lounge , deck , and Bistro . Jeans and hats are not acceptable attire in the Bogey Room . Also , tee shirts are not acceptable dress . There are some men ’ s dress shirts that do not have a collar that are acceptable ; however , this is a fine line so please use your best judgement if coming to the Club in a shirt with no collar . If you have any questions regarding the dress code , please visit the website or feel free to reach out to Heather Schadt .
I would also like to discuss the importance of making reservations . Recently , the deck has been reserved almost a week in advance for Friday evenings . We appreciate everyone who makes reservations as it allows the staff time to make a seating chart and staff correctly . The staff asks that you call plenty of time in advance for your reservation . We do allow walk-ins ; however , there may be a member event going on , which can limit seating . Please make sure to look at the calendar and call in advance so that we can accommodate you . We never want to turn anyone away ; however , we must consider the kitchen staff , front of house staffing , and other reservations . This will be even more important as we head into the winter months .
Lastly , I am excited to announce that Bogey Hills will have three additional Board members : Mike Ficken , Dennis Osborne , and Tom Slater . I am excited to have them on the Board and I am looking forward to working with them .
I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the Club .
Thank you , Angel Likens
President / General Manager
