Fall is approaching and the golf season will soon slow down . Take advantage of some great fall weather before old man winter comes a-knocking . Greens aeration is completed and putting surfaces are nearly filled in . One final application for Bermuda suppression was made to fairways , tees , and collars last month . Rough over-seeding has been completed and there are several fescue and bluegrass seedlings growing .
Leaves will start to turn color and begin littering the golf course . We will do our best to keep the golf course as clean as possible . In October , zoysia fairways should start heading toward winter dormancy . At that time , be prepared for information regarding a change in the golf cart ruling and the closing of the zoysia range tee for winter . The new mat system on the driving range tee will be installed the first week of October , pending weather . Upon completion , we will go to mats only for the off season .
