18-HOLE LADIES LEAGUE GOODBYE JUNE! IT’S A NEW MONTH…… WITH A NEW HOPE…… AND A NEW SPIRIT…… After WWI, “a return to the way of life before the war” was US Presidential candidate Warren G. Harding’s campaign slogan for the election of 1920. It seems that we are in a similar situation 100 years later. Will we return to the way it was before the pandemic? Who knows? Some things will change; hopefully more family time, more hugs, and enjoying relationships and living a little more simply (did you purge your stuff or put photo albums together during this period?). We were back in the swing of things on June 16th with shotgun starts at 8:00 am. From that date forward, unless otherwise noted from our President Pat Johnson, we will meet in the Bistro for a short meeting at 7:45 am. Please be on time to hear the game of the week and other important news. If all goes well, we should be able to finish out the League according to the Ladies League Calendar. Unfortunately, the Ladies Member Guest Day which was to be held in August has been cancelled. We are sorry if you had already contacted your guest. Please plan on playing in the event next year. We have District news! Carole Carpenter, Judy Tindall, Lynette Zuch, and Julie Bossard competed in the 3-day Stroke Tournament. The tournament was shortened to a 2-day tournament. One of our members, Julie Bossard, won the Low Net winner in the Green flight! Congratulations to Julie! “LIFE ISN’T ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORM TO PASS. IT IS ABOUT LEARNING HOW TO DANCE IN THE RAIN.” - Vivian Greene “We love to golf in the rain,” said no Ladies 18 Hole League member ever….. See you on the course, Pat, Bonnie, Lynette, Susie, and Jean
