IT’S HARD TO BELIEVE THAT SPRING IS ALMOST
HERE! PRECIPITATION CONTINUED TO COME IN
WAVES IN ALL FORMS OF RAIN, SNOW, SLEET, AND
FREEZING RAIN. This moisture made things really difficult for
us out on the golf course. We even had to push bunkers up on
multiple occasions due to heavy rainfalls. Many snow events
also kept the course closed for periods of time. But despite
the gruesome weather, the golf course maintenance staff has
stayed busy. Many improvements have been made around
the property and also at our maintenance facility.
Between rain and snow events we were able to take down a
handful of trees including the large elm tree next to #1 green
and #2 tee. This area is cleaned up and ready to move soil
around to change the green surround to accommodate a zoysia
collection area. The process of grinding the tree stumps has
started too. Brush clearing has been completed around the
