Good news, most of the leaves have fallen so we should start catching up.

Winter has officially arrived. December left off on the same foot as November. A combination of cold and mild weather with little extremes. Precipitation continued to arrive on our door step every four days in one form or another. This weather made it difficult for us to perform leaf removal and renovate bunkers. The handful of decent golfing days challenged members with a very messy golf course. We apologize for lost golf balls and slower golf rounds. Every chance we had we were making progress on our bunker renovation. Leaf cleanup took the back seat on several occasions, but we have been chipping away.

We are closing in on the finish line for our bunker renovation. Over twenty bunkers have been completed already and we only have ten to go! Half of the remaining bunkers have already been started to some extent! We are really happy with the decisions made during this project. Playability, aesthetics, and maintenance were all considered during every step of the way. The project should be completed in early January, but could take all month if weather is harsh. Please realize that once the bunker renovation is “complete” we still have a lot of work ahead of us. All the spoils/dump areas will have to be cleaned up, shaped and seeded. Many other areas on the golf course will need repairs including grading and seeding as well. This project will impact us for the remainder of the season also. Once completed, we will have approximately two acres of sod and another acre or two in seeded areas we will have to nurse along until mature. Thanks for your cooperation throughout the project with hole closures during golf play.nec, suscipit gravida eros.
