Then it hit me, why don’t we do both?! I knew there would be a lot to figure out as far as construction goes but was confident I could do it. The collection includes six revers- ible styles– each design inspired and named after one of Peng’s brides. The 28-year-old, designer also based in Los Angeles, made her debut in New York’s Bridal Fashion Week back in October. Check out our exclusive interview with the in- novative bridal designer. Q: The collection includes six re- versible styles– each design inspired and named after one of your brides (clients). Will this be a continuing trend, and do you plan to add more styles to the collection? Q: You recently launched your new- est collection, Reflections, which highlights the world’s first reversible wedding gown. What inspired this innovative idea? It all comes down to inspiration. My brides are always inspiring me, so I could definitely see future gowns being named after them. As far as adding more to the collection? Ab- solutely! I’m thinking we’ll be add- ing five or so more gowns to Reflec- tions, so stay tuned! I had a custom bride in New Zealand who couldn’t decide between a lace or plain fabric to the point where Q:Why do you think you were able to successfully create the reversible gown, what sets your brand apart from other wedding gown designers? We like to think outside the box to come up with solutions to give our brides exactly what they want. We say yes to everything and then fig- ure it out. That’s exactly how the re- versible collection came about. Our bride wasn’t happy having to decide between lace and plain fabric, so we came up with a solution, to make her happy, this is what sets us apart. Q: Which wedding gown has been the most rewarding to create? That is a difficult question to an- swer because all of my brides hold a special place in my heart. There is something truly rewarding seeing your brides’ vision come to life be- fore her eyes and knowing you had a hand in creating it. BSM MAGAZINE | BSMANDMEDIA.COM | 41
