C Cynthia Bailey jokes, “I think everybody in the world knows the date of my wedding at this point.” The RHOA star is, of course, talking about her upcoming mar- riage to Fox sportscaster Mike Hill. The two met on the “Steve” talk show in 2018 when the comedian and host introduced Bailey to three potential matches as dates. She eventually chose Hill and a whole relationship later, an October 2020 wedding is set. The model and mother of a young adult daughter, Noelle (her father is actor Leon from “The Five Heartbeats”) shares, she’s in a really good space. With an already in- sane schedule and a “big day” to plan, Bailey’s voice bears no sounds of any dubitable emotions. Simply put… Hill is “the love of her life.” But she doesn’t go without saying that it helps to have a great wedding planner, which she found in celebrity event planner, Courtney Ajinça. “She basically lives inside my brain in terms of like … being able to bring my vision to fruition for any special events in my life.” And it was right at this moment, during our conversation that Bailey said she and Mike had not sent their “Save the Date” to guests. Adding, “We have to do so by the end of the week.” Bailey sees her work and business life pretty much stay- ing the same once she and Mike marry. It’s a life that includes part— 10 seasons on Bravo’s RHOA and her en- trepreneurial endeavors. “I will just officially have a hus- band I have to take care of, so I have to carve out a little more time with him because as an entrepreneur and as much as I want to focus on work I want the balance of my family life to help me to be happy. One doesn’t work without the other. So I’m going to work really hard on creating that balance.” Bailey is also happy about a few other things as it pertains to RHOA. And that is being on a reality series for ten years, which she can’t believe it’s been that long, and not selling her soul or compromis- ing her class, grace, and integrity. “I just have a good time being a part of an amazing platform.” But with a bit of humor, she adds, “Keep me in prayer. We have a reunion show coming up.” Then there is her blossoming wine business, the Bailey Wine Cellar. Though it has not always been an interest (we asked), Bailey respects the culture and enjoys a good glass of wine. “I’m a woman of a certain age. I like creat- ing organic businesses from things I am interested in, and honestly, you will see on the show, I really did not know that much about wine when I opened my cellar.” For Bailey, she’s simply enjoying the process of learn- ing its history. “It’s a grown industry, and I am a grown a** woman, she says. Being someone that is on a reality show, nobody appreciates a good glass of wine better than I do (laughs). “I thought it would be a lot of fun, and it felt like something I would want to venture into, and it’s been phenomenal!
