Communities Princeton, West Virginia D ubbed the “Most Up and Coming City in West Virginia,” Princeton is a quirky and fun city to get to know. Princeton offers a special quality of life for families and an ideal location for business and industry. The county seat of Mercer County has plenty of history to offer through the Princeton Railroad Museum, Princeton Agricultural Museum, and Mercer County War Museum. The McNutt House, home of the Princeton-Mercer County Chamber, is the oldest residential structure in the city. It is a site of the national Civil War Trail having survived the burning of Princeton. Princeton’s Grassroots District features a brewery, great art galleries, music venues, a pottery place, and many retail shops to explore when seeking a Main Street experience. Large murals and repainted historical signs on historic buildings are a treat to take in while cruising down Mercer Street. Cruise-In’s for car enthusiasts and motor- heads is a great summer-time event.
