SIEMENS SOMATOM Definition Edge The New Standard in Low Dose, High Speed CT Scanners New at Princeton Community Hospital With increasing patient volumes in the Emergency Department where 40 percent of CT examinations are performed, hospital demand is growing for safer, more effec- tive imaging solutions. To achieve greater quality and efficiency, Princeton Com- munity Hospital is proud to announce the installation of two new SOMATOM Definition Edge CT systems. The system’s revolutionary Stellar Detector produces significantly improved image quality. The SOMATOM Definition Edge can generate 128 ultra-thin slices to de- liver an extremely high resolution image. The increased resolution may be benefi- cal in critical cases such as emergency diagnostics, where every additional visible micrometer can be decisive. According to Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services Sherri Snead, the SOMATOM Definition Edge CT system can enable visualization of structures down to 0.30 mil- limeters with great improvement in image sharpness and with the lowest radiation doses in the region. It is the hospital’s top priority to protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation while at the same time pursuing premium image quality in diagnostics that will lead to optimal patient outcomes. 122 Twelfth Street Princeton, WV 24740 Phone: 304.487.7000 www.pchonline.org 111830-1 Princeton-Mercer County Chamber of Commerce | 25
