Editor’s Letter Hi! I’m Brianna McLaughlin, editor of Bloom Magazine. I’m a Toronto local, but grew up outside of the city on a small hobby farm, where gardening and the great outdoors were a major part of my life. While there wasn’t much to do or see out in the middle of rural Ontario, I was happy to spend my time in the garden, or with our sheep, goats, and rabbits. I’ve always had a love for the outdoors, likely stemming from my many years as a Girl Guide. Last summer I visited St. John’s, Newfoundland (pictured), where I was inspired by the bright colours and cheerful locals. Everyone seemed to make it a priority to incorporate colourful planters and window boxes on the front of their homes, making it feel like spring all year round. I hope that you’re able to find the same kind of inspiration right here. Brianna McLaughlin, Editor Welcome to the Spring 2018 issue of Bloom Magazine.
