Dear Love Bug
I have been in a committed relationship for 5 years with a man I met at a night club. At first I didn't think it would last because we met at a club, but it did. Now after 5 years he doesn't want to get married but we live like married couples. Sometimes I feel like I am wasting my time and may not love him as much because we are not married. Help me figure this out.

There is no book of love that says you can't find love in a bar. Quite frankly, love can be found in the strangest of places, like the zoo. But that's a different story. It's important to understand the reason why your partner does not want to get married. Is it money, a previous failed marriage or bad relationship? Sitting down and talking about your relationship is a very healthy way for both of you to understand what the other wants and why marriage is always the topic of discussion. You must also ask yourself, "why do you want to get married?" Because some personalities are best suited to live together. Your partner may be very happy to live with you forever without being married.
