MONDAY -- HOW TO TRAIN YOUR RAPTOR : Blandford ’ s Wildlife Ambassador birds require specialized care and enrichment to stay healthy . Your mission is to become a raptor expert , helping to care for and understand these magnificent creatures .
WEDNESDAY -- GOIN ' ON A BEAR HUNT : What ’ s that up ahead ? Develop your skills as a wildlife biologist as we search for bear clues and learn about the amazing abilities of this unique Michigan mammal .
THURSDAY -- MAY THE FOREST BE WITH YOU : Tap into the secret powers of the trees and the wild inhabitants of the forest to realize the force within . Special activities for training and a mission into the forest depths make for an exciting day , but beware the Dark Side !
FRIDAY -- FARM FRIDAY : There is always fun to be had spending time with the goats , the chickens , and Blandford ' s Farmers ! Playing special farm games and helping grow delicious local foods will give you a taste of the Blandford Farm life .
July 10-14
AM : Mornings on the Farm
Where does your food come from ? Campers will get hands-on experience as they spend sunny , summer days among the vegetables and the farm animals .
PM : Nature Safari
Hop like a frog , walk like a fox , and run like a deer during this action-packed camp . Campers will search high and low during daily treks through the nature center ’ s trails , equipped with all the proper instruments to find animals large and small .
Aqua Explorers
As summer gets warmer and warmer , cool down by the edge of the water ! Water experiments , activities , and exploration is what this camp is all about . Prepare to get wet as we discover the fun of H-2-O !
Hooray for Herptiles
Campers will discover the secret world of toads , turtles , salamanders , and snakes by exploring Blandford ’ s ponds , marshes , forests , and creeks . Find the wild reptiles and amphibians that live on the property and then meet our resident herptiles in the Wildlife Center . Together we will come up with ways to make better habitats for these amazing animals !
Wild Culinary Adventures
Go on an edible adventure -- harvesting garden veggies , discovering wild forest foods , and creating deliciously healthy snacks ! Along the way , practice basic cooking skills like dicing , reading a recipe , and measuring ingredients . Campers will build up their cooking abilities in order to whip up a recipe of their own on Friday .
