Have you seen gentrification in

the medical marijuana industry?

Was it difficult for you to obtain

your grow credentials?

During the course of my time within the cannabis industry, I have witnessed an increased amount of interest from the “Black” community in joining this emerging space. Initially, we (the black community) showed little interest in the cannabis industry. In fact we criticized our fellow brothers and sisters who joined the Industry in the beginning but through education, barriers are being broken down, whick are encouraging more of us to become participants on every level. Obtaining my grow credentials was as difficult as the state of Colorado made it for its residents. The process was not harder due to the color my skin or my beliefs. Opportunities within the cannabis Industry thus far have been given based off of a first come basis, it is literally a race in this space.

UPDATE: Treyous Jarrells Post Playing High DECEMBER 1, 2016

In October, we introduced you to a star college football player who decided to indulge in the canna-business industry. His story of using cannabis as medicine as opposed to the prescribed opioids by his school, Treyous Jarrells excelled as a football player and student at Colorado State University. Before he met the repercussions of his cannabis use by his coaches, Jarrells resigned from the CSU Rams and followed his passion of horticulture. However, his transition from being a star running back to a ganjapreneur was not smooth sailing.
