DROPPED

THE aUTISM Meds

NOW JAM is DROPPING

the MIC

One early morning I heard Jam pacing and ticking really hard, it was bad, the worse I've ever seen. So I took him in the bathroom, put a towel under the door, put on some Gregory Isaac, and my husband and I smoked about half of an eighth of cannabis, and hot boxed Jam. After about 15 minutes of being in there I noticed his tics had calmed down tremendously. We were even able to have an incredible conversation.

That's when I knew that cannabis was the best medication for my son. But back then cannabis wasn't even considered medical, let alone legal, so I had to be very discrete about how and when I gave him cannabis. If anyone found out at school, or otherwise they would have for sure taken my kids and thrown me in jail for child endangerment. In the black community children were being taken out of the home for much less than that. I would hotbox him in the morning before school, bake edibles for him to take to school with him, and when he came home I would hotbox him. I tried CBD oil but It required me to give him such large doses for it to work we didn't pursue it anymore. So when Jam hit high school I felt he was old enough to inhale the plant on his own. I would roll him joints and I learned on my own how to dose

him. He would smoke 1/2 a joint at least 2 hours before school started, then he would have his edible during school, and 1/2 a joint after school.

I would pop up at school randomly just to check on him and make sure he's alright. He was doing incredible! He started being social; a complete change from being bullied. He became popular for his mad lyrical skills and was well respected! All of his teachers told me personally that he is able to teach their classes. I was so proud of my son. Jam graduated high school with a 3.8 G.P.A. and he wouldn't have been able to do any of that without cannabis.

Now at 23 years old Jam smokes his meds, primarily sativa or a sativa dominate hybrid. He gets in the studio and kills the mic every time! His verbal and physical tics are down to a minimum. Yes, they are still there and yes the physical tics are painful but they are maintained with cannabis. He has had no bad side effects since he's been taking cannabis. He has taught himself how to write, create his own beats, produce, and record music. Jam is very intelligent and awake and we have cannabis to thank for it all!
