Jam was diagnosed with Autism at age

2 1/2 years old. The state evaluated him

and didn't even tell me what was wrong

with my baby. They just started sending

me checks. I had to figure out

everything on my own. Jam was

nonverbal until he was 10 years old. He

never cried, he always smiled, he never

babbled, cooed or crawled like most

babies do. He sat up alone for the first

time at 4 months old. Jam learned to walk at six months but still no speech. Jam was my first child so I wanted to do everything by the book. I got my son's checkups when I was supposed to. I fed him the foods he was supposed to get at the proper ages and he got his vaccines at the proper age.

It was a month after his 1 year checkup and shots I noticed Jachin wasn't the same. He started screaming all the time, throwing things, and banging his head on anything. Concrete, walls, iron doors, whatever was
