The program
is designed
to address
issues such
as infectious
diseases,
maternal
and child health, family planning,
nutrition and mental health. The
awardee will be eligible for an
award of Rs 50 Lakh, followed by a
prize of Rs 10 Lakh for completing
milestones on schedule.
This Call for Proposals is open to
anyone from within India across
any discipline - from researchers
and faculty in colleges, universities,
government laboratories and
academic institutions, to start-ups
and small and medium enterprises
as well as non-profit organizations.
Proposals submission will close by
August 31, 2017.

In consonance with Global
Technical Strategy (GTS) of World
Health Organization (WHO),
the National Frame Work for
Malaria Elimination (NFME),
2016-2030 in India was launched
by Union Minister of Health and
Family Welfare in February 2016

to eliminate malaria in a phased
manner by 2027 and to sustain
thereafter till 2030 and beyond.
WHO has emphasized on
transforming surveillance
into a core intervention in the
Global Technical Strategy for
malaria 2016-2030. Therefore,
the Government of India has
accordingly advised the States as
per the Minister of State (Health
and Family Welfare), Mr Faggan
Singh Kulaste in the Parliament
recently.
