CELL ORGANELLES

BY:KENYA

Have you ever noticed that a eukaryotic cell functions like a factory. Cells have cytoskeletons which support and help in the movement of things in the cell or even the cell itself. A lot like how the roofs and walls support a factory and allow stuff to transport through it.

In the cell the nucleus is the control center or the main office in the factory which sends RNA and other information-carrying molecules to the rest of the cell. The RNA contains instructions of what type of protein the ribosome will make but, first it must go through the rough endoplasmic reticulum where they may be chemically modified. In a factory the main office gives instructions to other floors where factory machines make products like the ribosome.

He proteins move to the Golgi apparatus were they are prepared for their job. This is like a factories customization shop, it does all the finishing touches before shipping. When the protein being exported that’s when the shipping is done to sent the product to stores or markets.

All of this consist of some type of energy, that where the chloroplast or the Mitochondria kick in. A lot factory which hooked up to the local power company? The mitochondria uses these molecules to make high energy that can be used immediately, like a factories oil burning furnace. This is one examples of many and which cells are like factories.
