In Biology Honors we received an assignment that was due on December 6th. We began this project in the first semester. This assignment included us to work in a group of three people and create a magazine. The magazine had to be based on biology, and the units and chapter’s we learned about during class. We wrote an article almost every week, the articles all had a given promt that varied from just summerizing the chapter or focusing on one specific thing.
The Magazine required lots of teamwork cooperation. Unfortunately if some had some issues if someone had happen not to do their part of work it would affect the whole group. The splitted work had advantages and disadvantages, we had less work individually but you needed partners that were dependable and trustworthy.
Justin: Overall I thought this project was a bust, once we began this project I noticed that my grade had started to decrease from an A to a B, my test and quiz grades were the same as well. I felt like I had been spending too much time on the articles that I had to write I was not able to study for the test.
Jenell: I thought this project was stressful, especially relying on other people for your grade. However it did help me understand the chapters that I had to write better, and it was fun putting it all in a magazine. I liked taking the back seat when it was one of my partners turn to write the article, and only having the responsiblity of editing it. I personally enjoyed this project and wouldn't mind doing it again.
Kenya: I personally liked this project because it helped me understand each chapter better, but it was hard to rely on my other partners. It was hard at first to rely on others because one does not know who their working with. What i didn't like was if someone got a low grade or didn't end up doing their part it affected the rest of us. overall it was disent and hope to work like this again.
