The Human Genome Project

Around the 20th century the DNA sequencing technologies were advancing which made an effect in the progress of The Human Genome Project. In U.S.A and other countries began to attempt to sequence all human DNA. In 2000, Dr. Francis Collins and Dr. Craig Venter finally announced the completion of The Human Genome Project.

In order to find the proper position of DNAs between other is by carefully separating DNA on each chromosome. Scientists used a technique called shotgun were they randomly sequenced without knowing actually knowing where it goes, but high level computers found the final sequence. As soon as The Human Genome Project was completed the scientist started to count the genes sequence.

They found several type of was of locating genes like the open reading frame which is when DNA bases that can produce a part of mRNA sequence. People around the world are finding useful clues for the basic properties of life like to develop new drugs for diseases. The best of all things of this project is since the start it’s been updates on the internet which means it accessible to everyone anytime you want.
