Zoé saw that both the educational and creative arenas were important for the youth and because she truly wanted to create change she came up with a charity that did just that. This beautiful young lady is not simply charitable and empowering, she is also strong. It takes much bravado to stand up and represent a society that values women with fuller figures, when you are as petite as Zoé is. This chic does not fit into any box, she always brings an element of uniqueness, to whatever she does. That, along with her heart of gold is what makes her truly beautiful. Many young women today are just trying to fit into society as best as they can, but Zoé is seeking to be a woman of substance, a life changer, and most of all a confident empowered and empowering lady. Her talents range from fashion design and illustration to makeup artistry and music. Her voice is said to be phenomenal and riveting but what’s more is her incredible outlook on life. This “wonder woman” of sorts has been blessed with both artistic and academic ability, but more importantly she has emotional intelligence. Zoé understands the importance of education and the mainstream ideals of West Indian society but also understand how to think outside the box. What did I learn from the reigning Miss Barbados World? That we all ought to be ourselves, that loving yourself is not always easy but it is crucial and worthwhile and that being true to yourself on every level is not an option but in essence it is what makes life a little more worthwhile. Zoé knows that beauty is not at all skin deep and that it truly does come from the depths of our souls and not the perfection of an ad worthy smile. Women like Zoé remind us that being ourselves is really all we ever need to be. https://www.facebook.com/msbarbadosworld [email protected] FASHION ROCKs | BIM ROCK | 31
