I T TAKES GUTS TO ENTER A BEAUTY PAGEANT AND EVEN MORE GUTS TO BE ABLE TO: 1. Face the world and still be yourself. 2. Inspire and empower youth by creating a charity. 3. Evolve, even in the midst of judgment and the crazy world of pageantry. Zoé Trotman has managed however, to accomplish all of these tasks and even more. It’s rather amazing that the young lady who entered the Miss Barbados World in 2014 and currently holds the aforementioned title, is style savvy and visually striking; and also kind and thoughtful. Zoé’s pageant journey started as a simple “dare” a few years ago and now has led her all the way to London most recently for The Miss World 2014 Pageant. However, one might also come to realize a deeper side of Zoé and that’s the side that moves you. What is most endearing about Zoé Trotman is her passion, genuine nature and her drive to be the greatest Zoé she can possibly be. One might not expect a “pageant girl” to be that selfless, but that is the quality of Queen Zoé. The fact remains that her priorities are simply her family and caring for others. She seeks to empower and to be respectful - qualities that are rare in today’s society. Not particularly concerned with who you are, or where you come from - on any surface level. Her local charity, The Dream Foundation, was set up to bridge the gaps that exist among the youth in our society. 28 | BIM ROCK | FASHION ROCKs
