BLISS Bliss is a critique of the commercialization of the black image. Similarly to how the images of Uncle Ben, Uncle Rastus and Aunt Jemima in happy servitude linked the ideas of domestication and blackness together, companies now capitalize on an athlete’s talent and athleticism, reinforcing familiar stereotypes which the public consume.
