Las piezas artísticas de Daniel Popper impactan
y sobrecogen. De manera inevitable, su cercanía
transporta al observador a un mundo fantástico
de majestuosas dimensiones, en el que la per-
cepción humana se vuelve ínfima en relación
con su entorno. Las espectaculares instalaciones
transfieren a nuestra realidad seres míticos; dei-
dades que, como el legendario golem, amenazan
con cobrar vida de un momento a otro, como
guardianes de un entorno natural amenazado
por la modernidad. Las colosales obras han
otorgado al autor sudafricano fama y presen-
cia en festivales de música electrónica de talla
mundial como el Boom Festival en Portugal, el
Rainbow Serpent en Australia, el Electric Forest
en Estados Unidos, el Afrikaburn en el Tankwa
Karoo de Sudáfrica y, recientemente, en el Art
With Me en Tulum, México. Daniel Popper
irrumpe en los espacios públicos, logrando una
interacción directa con su audiencia al poner las
obras al alcance de su mano. En ellas, la misma
asistencia hace suya la instalación, volviéndose
de manera casi involuntaria, parte de la misma.
