LA CREACIÓN EN XINÚ SE ASEMEJA A
LA DE LOS ANTIGUOS ALQUIMISTAS.
La riqueza natural y cultural de América
es vasta y exquisita. La lengua otomí, aún
utilizada en ciertas regiones de México, es
una muestra de este fértil acervo; una de las
palabras más bellas del melódico lenguaje es
el vocablo xinú, cuyo significado es nariz.
De esta palabra parte la esencia de la marca
de alta perfumería Xinú, cuyo propósito es
el de rendir un homenaje a la botánica na-
cional por medio de la estructura de sus fra-
gancias. Construidas alrededor de olores y
de lo que estos nos provocan, las fragancias
conjuran nuestras memorias olfativas más
íntimas y particulares, mueven recuerdos
construyendo senderos hacia momentos
dichosos de nuestro pasado. Verónica Peña,
fundadora de Xinú, se remonta hasta la in-
fancia en casa de su abuela, en especial ha-
cia el jardín y su flor de la noche, hermoso
brote de un cactus de ramas largas, secas y
grises, en las que una noche al año florecen
hermosos y fragantes brotes blancos que se
convierten en las reinas durante escasas seis
horas. Los momentos con su familia reuni-
da en espera de ese aromático florecimiento,
quedaron fijados en su memoria, aguardan-
do el momento de salir a flote de manera
creativa. De esta manera, en 2017 nace
Xinú, un logro contemporáneo de la botá-
nica, la maestría artesanal y el diseño van-
guardista. Sobre una sencilla mesa de siete
metros se despliega, intrigante, su universo;
a través de minucioso trabajo, el naturalista
observa, recoge y crea. En pocas palabras,
Xinú es alquimia que deleita el olfato.

The Otomi language, still used in Mexico, is living proof and Xinú is one of the most
beautiful words in this melodic language. The meaning of this word, nose, is the cor-
nerstone of the Xinú brand of High Parfumery which seeks to pay homage to the na-
tional diversity through its fragrances. The smells evoke our most intimate memories
and transport us to happier times. Xinú founder, Veronica Pena, cherishes most her

Xinú is located on Polanco street in CDMX and
Merida, from where the most incredible perfumes
are created.
olfactory memories of her time in her grandmother´s house during her childhood,
particularly the garden and its beautiful night jasmine, budding from a cactus with
long, dry and gray branches that blooms beautiful and fragrant white buds but once
a year for scarce six hours. Those moments with de family gathered and waiting for
that magical blooming moment were etched in her memory forever. Thus, Xinú was
born in 2017. A milestone for modern botany, artisanal expertise and avant-garde
designs. On a simple seven-meter bench, the naturist´s universe unfolds while she
observes, collects and creates. In other words, Xinú is the alchemy of smell.
